The Bustagrip project was started in 1997 by group of underground hip-hop and graffiti artists. All our friends was starting cult hip-hop bands and legendary graffiti crews in Poland at this time. As all rebel Slavic nations we always wanted to have our own id-brands and philosophy of lifestyle. We were travelling a lot in this time to London and New York and we wanted to create something ours with influence of street lifestyle from our region. It was good idea and we got good support from local starts .

The name Bustagrip is combination of the rebel young philosophy against establishment and recognizable shape of our shoes. We wanted to have the aggressive name showing that we are real and rebel.
